The Concept
The Golden Elixir is the world’s first large-scale treasure hunt dedicated to wine. At stake is a wine cellar valued at €100,000, once owned by the Count of Saint-Germain, figure said to be immortal. The first person to solve the game’s 6 riddles, dig in the right place, and uncover the chest wins the cellar, and the hunt comes to an end.

The Treasure Hunt
Participation in the hunt is open to any adult, of any nationality, who has purchased or received the parchment as a gift, either in its physical or digital version. No additional purchase is required. It is then up to you to find the solution to the hunt’s 6 riddles.
On this website, on other online stores (Amazon, Fnac, Cultura, escape games, etc.), or in physical retail locations (board game cafés, game stores, and major retailers). In the United States, however, the game is currently available in digital format only.
The prize is a wine cellar with an initial value of €100,000. It can be viewed freely on this page and is publicly displayed at the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte.
The first person to solve the hunt’s 6 riddles and unearth the chest buried in France brings the game to an end and wins the entire cellar, or the proceeds from its sale. A judicial officer oversees compliance with the rules and ensures fairness between all players.
The principle is simple: once you have the riddles in front of you, you must decipher them. Every detail can matter, so be meticulous and persistent. Once the decryption is complete, you will uncover the location of a chest hidden somewhere in France.
Yes! The hunt does not require you to be a wine expert. Although the game’s theme is wine, it does not demand any advanced knowledge of oenology to be solved.
Of course! As long as that person meets the conditions set out in the Official Rules, they will be eligible to win.
The buried object is a chest. We do not reveal any further details about its contents, except that it contains the secret of immortality… and our contact details. The full contents will be discovered by the first winner.
Absolutely ! teaming up can increase your chances and makes solving the riddles even more enjoyable, whether as a couple, with friends, or with family. However, the prize will be awarded to a single person, who will then be responsible for sharing it among the team (so choose carefully who goes digging!).

As soon as someone wins the hunt by properly finding the chest, we will announce it across all our channels to inform the community. The game will then come to an end, and the winner will be invited to an award ceremony at the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte to receive the wine cellar.
