The Concept
Exkalibur is a unique Arthurian-themed treasure hunt with one ultimate quest: to prove yourself worthy of the legendary Exkalibur. Solve 12 riddles, each illustrated with a richly illuminated artwork, to uncover a buried chest and claim the solid gold sword set with a 6.23-carat red spinel, worth €250,000.
The Treasure
Exkalibur, a royal sword valued at €250,000, was crafted by two master blacksmiths from Atelier Thibaud from Carcassonne, France. The result of six months of meticulous craftsmanship using medieval techniques, its hilt is entirely covered in gold and set with a 6.23-carat red spinel. It is the crown jewel of this treasure hunt.

The Treasure Hunts
Simply order the game on this website, then solve the 12 riddles that will lead you to the location of a chest buried somewhere in Europe.
In the game itself. It includes 12 riddles, calligraphed on parchment and accompanied by illuminated artworks. The game also contains the riddle scrolls, as well as a large-format treasure map of medieval Europe.
The first person to unearth the chest will be declared the winner and will claim Arthur’s sword, a unique piece of goldsmith craftsmanship valued at €250,000.
This is not a sprint, but a marathon. You must solve the game’s 12 riddles — some are very easy, and the further you progress, the more challenging they become. You will need insight and perseverance. By overcoming the riddles, you will uncover the exact location where the chest is buried.
Yes. The riddles do not require advanced knowledge of cryptography, but will call upon your historical knowledge, common sense, and intuition.
Yes, it is even recommended to improve your chances of success. However, as the sword cannot be divided, it will be awarded to your designated “ambassador.” You are then free to decide who will keep the treasure, or to sell it at auction and share the proceeds.
When correctly solved, the game’s 12 riddles will lead you to an extremely precise location in Europe, where a chest has been buried. Finding this chest first is what wins you the hunt, and the treasure.

The treasure has been valued at €250,000. This estimate is based on the raw value of the materials used in the sword, in particular the precious stone set in the pommel — a 6.3-carat red spinel. It also takes into account the value of the artisanal craftsmanship involved, with multiple trades working for six months to create it.
